McLaren is one of the most historic teams in F1. During the 2023 season, Lando Norris and rookie Oscar Piastri made the team shine, especially after mid-season. The "orange team" and its MCL60 impressed the spectators and the competition. In Formula 1, the importance of aerodynamics is well known, but less so that of the steering wheel. Yet this technological jewel is one of the most expensive items on a single-seater. With an average price of €50,000, what was originally used to steer a vehicle now has a huge number of functions! It has a LED screen that provides lots of real-time information about the car and its components. It can also be used to change a few settings on the single-seater during the race, or to activate the DRS (Drag Reduction System) and the KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System).
